What We Did.

10 to 1 PR’s aggressive media strategy helped produce more than 1,400 media features and mentions for Runbeck Election Services during the 2020 election cycle. These stories focused on educating the public about the vote-by-mail process to give voters confidence about the system and to counter misinformation designed to disenfranchise voters. To demonstrate voters’ confidence in the system as vote-by-mail was introduced to many new jurisdictions in 2020, the country saw record voter turnout for the general election.

10 to 1 PR also designed a crisis communication plan for a variety of potential scenarios that could put the company at risk. 10 to 1 PR was able to quickly and effectively refer to this plan as any issues arose.

Moving on from the 2020 election cycle, 10 to 1 PR is continuing to work with Runbeck Election Services to maintain the company’s reputation within the printing and elections industries through creative media relations and strategic award submissions.

Family Promise envisions a nation in which every family has a home, a livelihood, and the chance to build a better future. Family Promise of Greater Phoenix rescues primarily first-time homeless families from the streets and provides emergency shelter and basic needs in a sixty-day program designed to assist their return to self-sufficiency. Their shelter includes a sanctuary for the family pet, the first such program in Arizona.

What We Did.

Family Promise of Greater Phoenix is headquartered in Scottsdale, Arizona, but has been expanding their services to reach the entire Valley over several years and wanted to grow its influence across the Valley, so 10 to 1 Public Relations worked to generate media features in all areas of the Valley. The results of the public relations campaign generated features in hyperlocal outlets in various communities from the East Valley to the West, as well as with five major television news stations. For any interviews with untrained spokespeople, 10 to 1 PR would spend time with them ahead of the interview to ensure they were comfortable with their talking points and messaging.

10 to 1 PR also targeted story angles to generate awareness for the nonprofit’s fundraising and donation efforts, resulting in stories to support key fundraising initiatives as well as donation campaigns. In one instance, 10 to 1 PR leveraged a successful Nextdoor post that generated unexpected donations for the nonprofit into a media opportunity that resulted in even more donations of supplies for families experiencing homelessness. 

In all of 10 to 1 PR’s efforts, we centered the issue of family homelessness to set Family Promise’s mission apart from other organizations that serve people experiencing homelessness. Media and the public responded well to this effort and have continued to be very supportive of the organization.

What We Did.

10 to 1 Public Relations worked with Casago to develop a multinational strategic communications plan that would support Casago’s goals. 10 to 1 PR was ultimately successful in generating hundreds of media features in key markets in both the U.S. and Mexico to grow Casago’s positive brand image. Part of 10 to 1 PR’s media strategy was to showcase the company’s corporate social responsibility and philanthropic efforts and offer expert insight to property owners interested in entering the short term rentals industry. 10 to 1 PR offered media training to the company’s CEO and other spokespeople as required.

One part of the public relations plan was to develop Casago’s CEO into a thought leader in the community and the industry. This was accomplished through strategic award nominations (including Phoenix Business Journal’s Most Admired Leader and Real Estate Magazine’s Newsmaker Awards) as well as exclusive interviews with respected outlets like The Washington Post and USA Today. 

10 to 1 PR also guided Casago’s public affairs efforts to speak out on legislation affecting the short term rentals industry, including writing op-eds for influential outlets like the Arizona Capitol Times and drafting talking points for testifying at the Arizona Legislature.

About Air Pros USA

Air Pros USA is a residential and commercial air conditioning services company founded in South Florida in 2017 on the premise of integrity, reliability, and putting our customers first. Recently, Air Pros USA added Colorado Springs-based One Source Home Services to Air Pros USA’s family of companies, expanding its services beyond HVAC to include plumbing and electrical work. Air Pros USA currently employs over 250 experienced professionals with 12 service locations.


What We Did.

As Air Pros USA expanded across the country, 10 to 1 PR employed a strategic public relations plan to build awareness and trust for the brand as they entered new markets. This involved announcing the company’s acquisition in those markets as well as running themed campaigns such as giving away glow sticks for Fourth of July celebrations, supporting teachers during the transition to remote learning during the pandemic, and a contest to give away an A/C unit to a veteran among other initiatives. All efforts have resulted in hundreds of media features in key markets.

As the company grew, it also needed to hire additional employees. 10 to 1 PR supported these efforts by issuing hiring announcements in markets where Air Pros USA was hiring to build awareness for the job opportunities. This also generated a positive reputation for the company as one that was a strong employer in the community.
